What Do You Want From Me!?

What a tiresome week. Emotionally tired. Who knew that emotional drainage could manifest itself into physical pain.  The boys were both sick last week and with trying to cope with daylight savings - our internal clocks are all off.  My little one seems to think that the umbilical cord is still attached.  And my big kid, well he was his moments as well.  I have this chronic shoulder pain that doesn't go away.

I went for a run this morning, something I desperately needed - alone time. I've put on 5-7lbs and that has slowed my pace down. Not a happy camper about that. Time to get back into the swing of things.  My 20th HS reunion is in May and I would love to shed about 20lbs by then.  I will need to get into some serious bootcamp training to achieve that goal.  One day at a time.

I think I need two things:  a vacation and some adult time (bar, dinner, dancing, whatever).  In dire need.  Oh how I long to lay on a beach and just close my eyes and listen to the waves crash onto the sand. Sink my toes in the warm sand and bask in the sun. Just me and nature. Looking around at the beauty dipping my feet in the aqua-turquoise water, searching for seashells and observing the beauty that God created. Is that so much to ask for?  I'm obsessed with the ocean, white sand, beautiful sunrise and amazing sunsets. A couple of palm trees wouldn't hurt neither.  Sometimes I wished I lived on a beach and sold seashells down by the seashore.  Carefree. Frozen margheritas on tap.

Ahhh but reality just smacked me (or sucker punched) and I'm just sitting here at my desk which is by the door directly across from little one's room with direct view. He looks at me and starts to cry.  I look back and tears start welling up in my eyes because I want to scream right back after a week of this.  So I shut the door and I finish this blog entry.  10..9...8...7... deep breaths. Tomorrow is a new day.
