New Year Resolutions
res·o·lu·tion [rez-uh-loo-shuhn]
Noun
New Year resolutions... We wait a full year to think back and reflect on our actions, our conflicts, our laments, regrets, achievements, basically our highs and lows. Some of us give up on he resolutions before we even utter them. Some of us give up half way while very few actually commit to their resolutions. One must be realistic when it comes to making resolutions, otherwise we are setting ourselves up for failure. It's really about mind over matter. We can do anything we put our minds to do it. Sounds easy enough? Nah. Not always. I don't necessarily think it makes you weak if you don't fulfill these changes. Some take a very long time to fulfill. But it all begins with you. When you are truly ready to let go of anxieties, past memories and put yourself in a positive place, then and only then will you resolve.
With that being said, I have thought about my new years resolutions for 2013. A new year to get a do-over. While we can't change he past, we can sure try to make a better future for ourselves.
My New Year's Resolutions
1. Exorcize "ghost friendships". Ghost friendships are friendships that you think exist but soon realize that it was a figment of your imagination due to your belief in that friendship but that person or persons do not feel the same way. They do not reciprocate. Sadly, I've experienced several ghost friendships over the past few years. I've given my time and effort in people who in turn do not, in my opinion, care as much as I have. While this hurts, I've come to accept it and move on, or at least try to. What I do know is that holding on to wondering what happened, why etc. isn't always the healthiest thing for me. I know that I am capable of being a good friend, I have a good heart, I am caring (sometimes too caring to a fault) but I'm not perfect. I resolve to invest in those who care about me, family and friends.
2. Exercise. Exercising releases endorphins which make you feel and look good. You become a better person to yourself and those you love / love you.
3. Let bygone be bygones, a.k.a. "it is what it is" and MOVE ON. See #2.
My list is not extensive but is profoundly meaningful to my well being. A friend posted a picture on Facebook that pretty much sums up my focus. (see below).
I hope that you see your resolutions through (if you decide to make any). You will feel a great sense of accomplishment. Even if you only fulfill one. However, be realistic with your resolutions, otherwise, you might be setting yourself up for failure.
Happy New Year amigos. Love, peace and blessings from my family to yours.

So cheers my dear friends and family (who care enough to read my blog! - smile) to a brand new year, with brand new thoughts. Love yourself, love others, be kind, dance like no one is watching, laugh until your face hurts and per Shakespeare "to thine own self be true".
Happy New Year amigos. Love, peace and blessings from my family to yours.

I Love You, and will do my best to make you happy.
